5:2 Juice diet?

And the weekend has arrived.. days are passing by so fast it's actually crazy. Well, I'm happily snuggled up in bed since 11am doing absolutely nothing. Okay, fine. Not nothing. I was window shopping online. Not for clothes this time, but for cold pressed juices. I had my very first bottle of cold pressed juice in HK and honestly, I loved it. It filled me up nicely but it just felt so healthy. The only downside of it, is that it's insanely expensive.

I have read articles after articles on the 5:2 juice diet and it seems like the easier diet ever. Celebrities swear by it so.. well, what other reason do we need to convince us that it's good eh? Here's an article/experience post about the 5:2 juice diet journey but in summary, you basically live on a juice fast for two days (it seriously doesn't seem that bad! Plus if you read the article, she lost 4lbs in 2 days! WTF). Anyway, so I did some research online, hoping to get myself a subscription or a starter pack of juices and honestly, I am so taken back by the price. Not so much that it puts me off indefinitely but enough to make me go 'let me rethink that'.

Has any one of you ever tried or are on the juice diet? I would to hear about your experience/where you got the juice from if you have!

I might just get a juicer myself so I can get a daily dose of whatever juice I like. I'm being serious. Oh and also, one day left to my giveaway! Join here. Thanks for being the best readers you guys x

  3. Mmmh these kind of methods to lose wait seem insane, I just prefer to eat everything I want, but in a clean and right way and drink a lot, very a lot so you don't lose extra weight only, but detoxing yourself you'll feel "lighter" and you'll lose centimeter.
Let me know what you will do

  7. I really love the idea of juice diets but only for their value in detoxing, however with regard to weight loss I prefer crazy workouts and generally healthy eating whilst at home, whilst indulging whilst out. Your idea of getting a juicer is a great one as the prices on these can be terrible, but if you do try this let me know as I think the concept behind them is fabulous - especially if you're busy!! :)

  16. My former manager did a juicing diet and lost 40lbs. Obviously she did this for long period of time and was part of a cycling team. It was pretty cool and she made her own juices with a handy dandy juicer :)

  18. Juice diets are so expensive aen't they! You can do a 5:2 diet with food though, so long as you eat under 500 calories on your fast days :)

  21. I definitely believe that juicing is a great way to pack a lot of vitamins and other nutrients in one go, but I'm not that convinced about juicing alone as a diet. All these "lose weight fast" solutions are tricky and you should definitely consult an expert first because it might not be fit for you.
I've learned that the slow & steady way is the best way when you need to lose weight.

  27. I really wouldn't recommend a juice diet, or any crash diet to be honest - your basically starving your body (that's why you drop weight so quickly) and as soon as you start eating properly again you'll put all the weight back on (and possibly more) so quickly as your body is in 'starvation mode'. Your much better off eating three healthy meals a day with healthy snacks in between, and doing some exercise! So much healthier and cheaper AND the most effective way to lose weight!
